| Father Phil Walsh. Notes from Sister Marie Sheehy "Father Phil to us, but especially for the first set of Sheehy children, he was Uncle. Father Phil was the brother of Agnes. See picture of Walsh Family, upper left corner. Note the little peak in the hair, the thin neck. Father Phil had thick wavy white hair up into his old age - a very distinguished-looking gentleman. He served in Spring Valley, Ill. for many years". | ||

This
photo is stamped 1910, Denver, Colorado. The donkey's name is
Lizzie, and it is believed to be from Agnes Veronica Sheehy (Sister
Mary Baptist, sister of Thomas Normoyle Sheehy), and is addressed to E
J Sheehy (Edmund John Sheehy, brother of Thomas Normoyle Sheehy). The
card reads as follows: "Dear Brother, There isn't any post
office up here. Its five miles and a half to the post-office (around
the road) so Agnes and I took "Lizzie" and went down (I rode down and
she rode back) to get the mail for the crowd. Lizzie is a pretty good
looking animal. There is an artist here and he said "I want one of
these, its so good of LIzzie". I received your card from Lincoln. I am
glad you went down. They are going to have air ship flights in Denver
Sept 7. Roger is coming up Saturday and we are going over the Moffat
Road. I hope tha you and "Cap" are well.
Agnes " |
